In this post, I am going to talk about development of E-commerce in agribusiness 😊

Do you ever hear about  E-commerce? Yes? No?

Ok, before we start this discussion, I will tell you about the meaning of E-commerce. E- commerce (electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and services, or the transmitting of funds or data, over electronic network, primarily the internet. These business transaction occur either as business to business, business to consumer, consumer to consumer, or consumer to business.

Now we know the meaning of e-commerce. And the question is……why we must choose E-commerce for agribusiness? Does E-commerce better than conventional selling or buying? Hm…….. I think it is a difficult question for this modern era. Hahahaha

E-commerce has benefits that conventional can not do, especially for agribusiness. First, consumers can get description, how to use, and details from an online product catalog. It is very important because many of consumers do not understand details of product that they will buy, especially agribusiness' tools . Although we can get information about goods which we need at conventional store, but sometimes seller just explain little information or details of product. It often happens when seller’s store full. Some people hate these condition, so E-commerce can be a solution.

Second, consumers can compare price and quality of product from many of sellers with short time and they do not need extra cost of transportation. All they need are E-commerce and internet, of course. For entrepreneurs, it is very important for make decision to purchase products or not and where they must buy their goods or services. Being entrepreneurs should be quick and true, right?

Third, farmers and fisherman can selling their product. For example keranjangsayur.com, keranjangsayur.com sell vegetables, fruits, meats, and others. Keranjangsayur.com get their goods from farmers and fishermen directly, Keranjangsayur.com ‘s  goal is make farmers and fisherman can sell their products by Keranjangsayur.com with profitable price. Nowadays, farmers and fisherman smarter than before, they can make decision with who they must sell their products, how to make their product have good quality and so on. Internet has big deal for that, especially because of E-commerce.
